Function ‘IMPORT’

Version 3.06 and later versions include the function ‘Import’, which allows copying tasks from other schedules created with Friendly Schedule:

  • Download a new version of Friendly Schedule if you do not have version 3.06 or a later one.
  • Open the new version and create a new schedule (book 1).
  • Click on the option ‘Import’ to enable Copy/Paste.
  • Go to the old schedule (book 2) that contains the tasks that you want to transfer and EXPORT it, using the option ‘Export’ located on the top menu.
  • You cannot copy the tasks directly from the old book, so do not forget to export it first.
  • Now the old schedule has been exported to another Excel book (book 3). Select the tasks on this book and Copy them with the usual Excel option or CTRL+c.
  • Go back to the new schedule (book 1), select the location for the tasks and Paste them (CTRL + v).
  • Now the tasks from the old schedule (book 2) have been transferred to the new one (book 1).

This option can also be used if your older schedules have expired:

  • Open your expired schedule and click on the option ‘Export’. All the information will be transferred to a new Excel workbook (book 1).
  • Download a new version of Friendly Schedule if you do not have version 3.06 or a later one.
  • Open the new version and create a new schedule (book 2).
  • Click on the option ‘Import’ to enable Copy/Paste.
  • Go the exported schedule (book 1), select the tasks that you are interested in and Copy them.
  • Go to the new schedule (book 2), select the location for the tasks and Paste them.
  • Now the tasks from the old schedule (book 1) have been transferred to the new one (book 2).
